But if this quantity is undeniable, it is permissible to look at what it hides: the political intentions or mental, fueled by Disney by inventing and then disfiguring characters Mickey, Donald and Scrooge. In his extraordinary pedigree of Disney's work, which owes as much to Erwin Panofsky in that Greil Marcus, the critic and art historian Pierre Pigot presents the results of an investigation into the dark side of the Disneylogie. Since the projection of the first episode of Mickey Mouse, before the 1929 crisis, to the subversion of the ideology of Disney through the adventures of Scrooge McDuck by Don Rosa reinvented at the dawn of 2000, c ' is thus a history of fantasies and anxieties of the past century it offers. A story which intersect in a maddening dance of a scholarship, in addition to the Disney characters, the ghosts of Aby Warburg and Walter Benjamin, Paul Klee and creators of South Park, Buster Keaton and Adolf Hitler . About the Author Pierre Pigot is an art historian and critic. He is a member of the collective Fric Frac-Club (www.fricfracclub.com). The killing of Mickey Mouse is her first book.
